We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our fast-paced startup. You’ll work on a Python-based backend running in the cloud on Kubernetes, handling real-time audio streams and integrating with multiple third-party services. This role offers strong ownership and rapid professional growth.
Responsibilities
>/ Seamlessly integrate with new POS systems and digital menu boards to expand our ecosystem.
>/ Design and build data pipelines for processing diverse restaurant menu data.
>/ Maintain and support existing integration pipelines to ensure smooth operations.
>/ Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues with precision and urgency.
>/ Lead communications with integration partners to successfully deliver new integrations.
>/ Estimate, plan, and execute integration projects efficiently and reliably.
>/ Manage a wide variety of intricate customer problems across multiple integrations.
>/ Develop clear and thorough documentation to support integrations and team knowledge.
Requirements
>/ 5+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
>/ Strong skills in backend architecture and software design principles.
>/ Proven track record of developing and deploying multiple production-grade projects.
>/ Proficiency with asynchronous programming (Async IO).
>/ Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.
>/ Experience integrating with third-party APIs and building complex data pipelines (ETL).
Nice-to-Have
>/ Bachelor’s degree in Software Development or equivalent industry experience.
>/ Knowledge of concurrency concepts and practices.
>/ Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React.
>/ Prior experience working in startup environments, comfortable with fast change and ambiguity.
